**SPECIAL BULLETIN**

by Mike Jasper

It is alive!

People are obsessed with the dead and dying. A car accident happens and traffic is backed up for miles. Why? Cause everybody wants to see the blood, guts and gore.

Which reminds me, some of you have have been asking about my music career. So I've arranged for you to download some of my songs. All you need is the Real Player plug-in OR (for much better sound quality) an MP3 player such as WinAmp or MacAmp to play the tunes. Both applications are shareware or freeware.

You can get all the info you need at www.mp3.com. But... if it's all too much, just e-mail me at mail@(nospam) mikejasper.com and I'll explain it to you.

(ATTENTION: This is a one-time deal, folks. I'm leaving this page up for a few weeks and then I'm going back to writing my column again.)

We're Number Ten!

Thanks to you guys, my song "Ten Years From Now" went to #10 last weekend on the Acoustic Rock charts at mp3.com. Credit goes to Tim from New Zealand, who kept hounding me to do this.

If you haven't heard it yet, go to www.myspace.com/jaspersongs . Make it #1. Instant Play only takes 30 seconds.

See what I'm doing here? I fake you out for two years with this column only to push my music on you. The old bait and switch. Anybody want to start an MP3 pyramid scheme?

GRUDGEFUCK

Grudgefuck

I'm managing and producing this band. The line-up is Tony Zacarelli on lead vocals and guitar, Cheech on lead guitar, Bastille on bass and TheRicFurley on drums.

I've only known this garage band a few weeks but I've grown to admire Zacarelli. He reminds me of me when I was his age. He even looks a little like me, don't you think?

You can find the Grudgefuck song "The Guillotine (live)" at www.mp3.com/grudgefuck.

Rock & roll, baby. Crude but creative.

Mary Carouba

Mary Carouba

Therapy anyone? I produced and engineered comedian Mary Carouba's still-to-be-released CD tentatively titled, "Take What You Like." A small sample can be found at www.mp3.com/carouba. It's only a 1mb download for the MP3 and the Instant Play version sounds great.

By the way, if you want to learn more about Mary read my column, "Three True Stories and the Cords."

Brother In The Biz

My brother, Dan Eagan, is a business manager in the music industry. His clients include Seven Mary Three, Days of the New and Sister 7.

I know. If my brother is such a bigwig in the music biz, how come I'm unsigned? To put it in his own words: "What am I, a fuckin' miracle worker?"

Here are some of his up-and-coming bands.

GUNBURNER

Gunburner

The guy on the left, Billy Wells, is my future brother-in-law. My brother is marrying his sister, Georgia.

This three-piece band, Gunburner, includes Billy Wells on vocals and guitar, Jason Dudney on bass and background vocals with Shane Wanek on drums. The music is what I call Southern grunge and what my brother calls, "Three piece, whup ass!" Oooookay.

The band is #1 in the Rock&Roll and Southern Rock category and #10 in the AAA category at mp3.com. Not bad.

You can hear this Florida band at www.mp3.com/gunburner.

Matt McCormack

Matt McCormack

This is a cropped photo of Matt McCormack measuring his penis. Just kidding.

I used to play second lead guitar in his backup band until one day he looked up to find a 40-year-old on stage with him. He does alt. country (I call it country rock) and he's a good ol' boy. Originally from Memphis, he lives in Austin now.

If you want to learn more about Matt, read "Billy Buck Henry goes to Hollywood."

You can hear his stuff at www.mp3.com/mattmccormack.

Noble Jones

Noble Jones

I don't know much about this band, so I'm not going to make any wiseass remarks. I'll just let the photo speak for itself.

But... I just heard their song "Leaving Yesterday" and I must admit it's pretty damn good. You can hear it at www.mp3.com/noble jones

The group consists of Floridians Robby Williams on vocals, Shane Scott on guitar, Rikke Hansen on guitars and background vocals, Al Kumick on bass and Cliff Greene on drums.

Little known fact: Each band member has seen Riverdance 16 times! (Damn... I wasn't gonna do that.)
